This matchup is going to come down to the matchup of Ben Simmons vs Dwayne Bacon as the best player for each team will need to make big plays to put their team in a position to take home the hardware and capture a high school national championship. This is going to be the best game of the tournament as it features the top two teams in high school basketball, at Madison Square Garden, in a winner take all Championship Game. The two teams have a combined 77-1 record this season and the two programs have combined for a 336-24 record since Boyle has taken over at Montverde Academy (FL) in 2011. Coming into the championship matchup Montverde and Oak Hill have an almost identical point differential in this year’s national tournament. Montverde is outscoring its opponents by an average of 10 points in this year’s event, while Oak Hill is outscoring their opponents by an average of 9.5 point per game. Both teams’ superstars are averaging 19 points per game in the tournament and each team comes into the event with all five starters heading off to division one college when they graduate.
